Missing Maple Mystery
It is the time of year when the weather starts to change from winter to spring. Warmer days are starting to come, and the sap inside the trees starts to flow. For the Menominee, a First Nation people whose ancestral lands and present day reservation are located in the state of Wisconsin, this time is known as the Maple Sugaring Moon. During this time of year, the Menominee tap trees for maple sap that they will use to make syrup, sugar, candy, and even medicine! This year, you and your friends have helped to set up camp, tapped the trees, and the sap has already started to flow. After getting everything set up, you decide to go back to the camp and will come back to check on the sap a little while later. When you come back, you see that there isn’t any sap found in the baskets! Something must have happened to the sap, but what? Take a look around to unlock the clues you see and find out what happened to the sap.
