In 1820, the people of Lima, Peru revolted against Spanish colonizers. In a half-hearted effort to protect the gold stored in the city, the Spanish tried to sneak it out on a ship before they fled. They knew the people of Lima would give no safe quarters to the colonizers. The captain and two of his crew became pirates and together they stole the gold. Eventually, the captain and his pirate crew were captured. One of three conspirators was a traitor. They never told where they had hidden the treasure and they died without ever revealing its location. Rumor has it, the gold was buried on a deserted island near Lima. Half of the rumors say the gold is haunted. Haunted or not, it would be enough gold for a lifetime of luxury. This box was found on a deserted Pacific island. Could it contain the lost pirate treasure?
