Watergate Breakin... er, Break OUT!
There has been a break in at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Museum. The intruders made a huge mess and vandalized the Watergate section of the museum. As far as the Director of the Library can tell the only thing that is missing is President Nixon’s tape recorder and the tapes that were recorded from 1972-1974. Of greatest concern is the taped conversation from June 23, 1972, the “Smoking Gun.” It is urgent that these items be returned so that the museum can reopen to the public and generations of young people can continue to learn about our 37th president and the reasons for his resignation.
