The sixth-grade science classes at your school will take part in the annual gardening competition sponsored by the local farmer’s market. Each year, the farmer’s market challenges students to form teams and grow fresh, organic vegetables and fruits to provide a healthy variety of food for the food bank in town. Your school is excited to be part of this competition. Not only is it fun to compete against the other classes, but it’s also gratifying to be helping out a local charity.
